It is a paraboloid reflecting concentrator with downward facing conical cavity receiver at its focus designed to absorb the concentrated solar energy and to transfer it for useful application. The concentrator tracks the sun on two axes, continuously facing it to capture the maximum amount of solar radiation over a day. The dish concentrator along with the receiver is mounted on a specially designed pillar with the tracking system. The system is equipped with a heat retrieval mechanism (which consist of piping and fittings, insulation, fluid circulating pump, etc.), and system controls related to tracking, thermal system, and security/ emergency measures.
Efficiency
The overall conversion efficiency of the solar energy (DNI 700 W/m²) in thermal is 65%.
Thermal Energy
GL-CST is able to generate 20000 Kcal per day. In one year it can produce up to 6000kWh of thermal energy.
Self Protection
In heavy wind condition or bad weather can automatically come in parking position (Self-protection mode)
Tracking
GL-CST is equipped with an automatic dual axis solar tracking system.
Operating
Space Each GL-CST Dish need 24 sq meters of area and only 2 sq ft as footprint area.
Economics
Cost of manufacturing of dishes is economical and hence easy for the client to invest in CST technology.

GL-CST is designed in modular design leads to easy transportation and quick installation.
Maintenance
Due to optimum dish size and design leads to minimize the maintenance efforts and give the customer a feeling of ease to run and maintain the system
